This large bowl has an undulating rim that creates giving it a floral shape. The surface is decorated with a pale yellow kohiki slip and glazed with a translucent matte glaze to preserve its tactile qualities. After bisque firing Akio applies colored slips and then glazes the pieces with translucent matte glaze. Beautiful to see and incredible to hold.
