This small pitcher features a simple form carved with parallel lines and decorated with mottled indigo slip. A small spout is formed from the rim and both are painted with bright yellow slip and delicately lined with black slip. After bisque firing Akio applies colored slips and then glazes the pieces with translucent matte glaze. Beautiful to see and incredible to hold.
